Hiking Group and Yonsei University Health System establish a joint-venture

  The signing ceremony of the joint-venture of Hiking Group and Yonsei University Health System was held at Regency Hotel on March 22, 2016. Mr. Lee Soo Jun, Consul-General of ROK to Qingdao,Chung Namsik, President of Yonsei University Health System, Park Yong Min, president of Qingdao Korea Trade-investment Promotion Agency,Sin Hyeong Geun, former Consul-General of ROK to Qingdao, Zhang Jianhua, chairman of Hiking Group, Liu Duping, president of Hiking Group and officials from Qingdao municipal commerce bureau, municipal planning bureau and Laoshan District government attended the signing ceremony. Lee Soo Jun, Chung Namsik, Zhao Lei, deputy chief of Laoshan District and Zhang Jianhua delivered speeches at the signing ceremony.

  In his speech, Mr. Zhang Jianhua pointed out that it is another milestone moment in the cooperation between Hiking and Yonsei University Health System. The establishment of a joint-venture marks the official launch of the construction of cooperation project.

  Then under witness of relevant officials, Zhang Jianhua and Chung Namsik signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides.

  The 13th Five-year Plan Outline of Qingdao (2016~2020) encourages social forces to establish large-scale non-profit hospital and eldercare institutions. The cooperation between Hiking and Yonsei University Health System is an active attempt in this aspect. Part of Korea's giant Yonsei University Health System, Severance Hospital was established in 1885. Yonsei is one of largest and most advanced hospital networks in ROK. The cooperation between will give paly to the technology and human resources advantages of Yonsei University Health System and the resources and experiences of Hiking to build an international modern health and eldercare institution in Qingdao. At the same time, the project is another important achievement in the development of a dual-wheel driving mode of eldercare and public health.
