On the afternoon of December 29, 2020, Chairman Zhang met Mr. Kim Kyunghan, new consul-general of Republic of Korea in Qingdao and his delegation. Both parties had a cordial meeting. Chairman Zhang said that Qingdao plays an important role in the exchange between China and Korea and especially sets a “Chinese-Korean International Salon” in Chengyang District. Now the construction of SCO demonstration zone and the free trade zone will bring important opportunities for Qingdao to become the bridgehead of opening up. Hiking Group have established close cooperation relationships with Korean enterprises in the domains of trade, medical treatment and second-hand sales. Now Qingdao is preparing for founding Qingdao Korean Entrepreneurs’ Fellowship, in which Hiking Group will play an important role. Consul-General Kim expressed his high appreciation to the important contribution of Hiking Group and Chairman Zhang in the exchanges between China and Korea. He promised to make full efforts to actively promote the deeper cooperation between Hiking Group and Korean enterprises and proposed both parties to establish medium and long-term cooperation planning besides short-term exchanges, which will be very favorable for both parties to realize the win-win cooperation and the dual-cycle target.
