In February 2009, the former South Korean general consul in Qingdao, Kim Jiaxing, gave the South Korean government prize, that was issued by the South Korean Foreign Trade Minister, to Zhang Jianhua, Chairman of the board. Chairman Zhang was rewarded for “his outstanding contribution to the development of the long lasting friendship and cooperation between China and South Korea”. He became the first Chinese entrepreneur to be honored in this way.
