February 2009, the former South Korean general consul in Qingdao, Kim Sun-heung, gave the South Korean government award issued by the South Korean Foreign Trade Minister to Zhang Jianhua, Chairman of the board to acclaim “his outstanding contribution to the development of the long lasting friendship and cooperation between China and South Korea”. He became the first Chinese entrepreneur to get the honor.
